About National Voter's Day :
Government of India has decided to celebrate 25th
January of every year as National Voter’s Day. 1st priority
of this event is to encourage young voters to take part in the political
process. It has been started from 26th January, 2011 and celebrated
for the 1st time on 25th January, 2012.Objective of National Voter's Day :
By observing new voters, they have founded that
only 20-25% of the young who have attained the age of 18years, getting enrolled
in the electoral rolls.
From then, such eligible voters who have enrolled themselves
on time are getting Electoral Photo Identity Card or EPIC on 25th
January every year.
