Why there are no Diesel Bikes?

In this generation, Motorbikes are just like a common family member. Every middle class family set their target to bring a motorbike as a new member.

But have you ever gone to a 4-wheeler shop? If you do, you will face a question with two options – Diesel Engine or Petrol Engine.

Have you ever wondered why you don’t have to face a question like this when you go to buy a motorbike?

Actually, Diesel engines are usually larger and heavier than the petrol engines.

Also Diesel engine produces more vibration and noise and it is not possible for a small vehicle to withstand these vibrations and noise.

Also initial price of diesel engine is higher than that of petrol engine. This initial price of diesel engine is about 50,000 INR which is not suitable for small vehicle.

Also it creates more pollution than a petrol engine and that’s why it is not good for our environment.

These are the reason why the diesel engine is not suitable for bikes.

But there is one diesel bike and it has the record of highest selling Diesel bike in the world.

Well known Company Royal Enfield was the only manufacturer to introduce diesel powered motorcycle and the model name was Tauras. It was the highest selling diesel motorbike in the World.
