• Technician Grade-III – 6,234 Posts
• Vacancies are distributed among different Railway Zones and RRBs.

 

Eligibility Criteria for RRB Technician 2026:

Educational Qualification

• Technician Grade-I Signal
• Candidates should possess the prescribed Engineering qualification mentioned in the official notification.
• Technician Grade-III

        Candidates should possess:

• Matriculation (10th Pass)
• ITI in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT
• Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (where applicable)
• Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible to apply.

 

Age Limit (As on 01 July 2026)

Technician Grade-I Signal

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 33 Years

Technician Grade-III

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years

Age relaxation is applicable for:

• SC/ST – 5 Years
• OBC (NCL) – 3 Years
• PwBD – Up to 15 Years
• Ex-Servicemen – As per Government Rules

 

Application Fee for RRB Technician 2026: 

• General/OBC/EWS: ₹500
• SC/ST/PwBD/Female/Ex-Servicemen/EBC/Minority: ₹250

Candidates appearing in CBT will receive the applicable fee refund as per RRB rules.

 

Selection Process of RRB Technician 2026: 

The selection process consists of the following stages:

• Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Stage 2: Document Verification (DV)
• Stage 3: Medical Examination

Final selection will be based on CBT merit, document verification, medical fitness, reservation policy, and available vacancies.
