Common Law Admission Test
CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test, a centralized test for admission to 21 National Law Universities in India. The course offered are B.A LL.B, B.B.A LL.B, B.COM LL.BM, B.SC LL.B in CLAT PG Course and LLM in CLAT PG Course.
A) CLAT ELIGIBILITY :
a)
CLAT UG COURSE :
· There
is no upper limit for UG COURSE in CLAT.
· Minimum
40% in 10+2 or equivalent examination for SC/ST candidates and 45% for others
candidates.
· Candidates
appearing in the final exam also can apply.
b)
CLAT PG COURSE:
· Minimum
50% in LL.B degree or equivalent exam for SC/ST candidates and 55% for others
candidates.
· Candidates
appearing in the final exam also can apply.
· There
is no upper age limit for appearing in CLAT.
B) CLAT Syllabus :

UG COURSE :
· English
including comprehension (40 marks)
· General
knowledge and Current Affairs (50 marks)
· Mathematics
(20 marks)
· Legal
Aptitude (50 marks)
· Logical
Reasoning (40 marks)
2. CLAT
PG COURSE :
· Constitutional
Law (40 marks)
· Other
Law Subjects as Contract, Torts, Criminal Law, international Law IPR and
jurisprudence. (60 marks)
· Essay
on topics of Law and Contemporary Issues (50 marks)
C) CLAT Exam Pattern :

UG COURSE:

Marks : 200
· Time
: 2 hrs.
· Question
Type : Multiple Choice
· Negative
Marking : 0.25 mark for each wrong Answer
2) CLAT
PG COURSE :
· Total
Marks : 150
· Time
: 2 hrs.
· Question
Type : Multiple Choice (100 marks) and Tow Essay each of 25 marks (50 marks)
· Negative
Mark : 0.25 Mark
